Back in the 1950s, the original Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI starred next to another Breitling icon: the Navitimer. With its bold design, engraved rotating bezel and extra legible dial the 765 AVI instantaneously became the perfect companion to the Navitimer as the rugged and reliable pilots’ watch.

Today, the AVI 1953 Edition offers a luxury twist on the original design of the Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI from 1953.

The all-black dial, protected by a highly-domed Hesalite crystal, has the same Arabic numerals than the original Co-Pilot, with tone-on-tone small second, 15-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters. The hand-applied Super-LumiNova color has been carefully chosen to recall the original luminescent material and gives the AVI 1953 Edition an additional touch of vintage allure. The AVI 1953 Edition features a 41mm 18k red gold case with a water resistance up to 3 bar (30 meters).

The AVI 1953 Edition is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09, a hand-wound COSC-certified caliber based on the renowned Breitling Caliber 01. It is available on a brown vintage-inspired leather strap with an 18k red gold pin buckle as a limited-edition of 253 pieces, each of which is engraved “ONE OF 253”.

Items we have in stock and ready to ship will be shipped within one business day. “Design Your Own” engagement rings will require up to three days to process and ship. Shipping Address & Signature

Markham Fine Jewelers will ship your product to the billing address that is associated with your credit card. As a fraud protection measure, we do not normally ship to a different address. An exception can be made only if you contact your credit card company and add the alternate address to your card account. Please understand that if your credit card company does not have your desired shipping address on file, we cannot ship to that address.

Shipments from Markham Fine Jewelers also must be signed for in person. This is for our mutual protection. Please be available to provide the signature yourself. When a third party at your home signs for the package, Markham Fine Jewelers cannot be responsible for claims of lost, missing, or damaged goods. If signing in person is impractical for you, we suggest that you make arrangements with your local FedEx location to pick it up there at your convenience.
